He Completed his B. Sc. And LL. B from Bangalore University and enrolled as Advocate on 30/3/1978.  He started his practice in the office of Sri. R. S. Mahendra, (as he then was) Advocate, who later elevated as Judge of the High Court of Karnataka, in the year 1979.  After the elevation of Justice R. S. Mahendra, he joined the office of M/s. Law Associates, Advocates in the year 1980.

He became the Partner of M/s. Law Associates in the year 1985. He was appointed as the High Court Government Pleader in the year 1989.  He served as Government pleader before the Karnataka Administrative Tribunal from 1991 to 1994.  He worked as High Court Government Pleader from 1994 to 1996. He was again appointed High Court Government Pleader in the year 1999. He was later appointed as High Court Addl. Government Advocate in the year 2000 and was working as such till the year 2005.  He was again appointed as Addl. Government Advocate in the year 2006, but however he resigned subsequently.

His prime areas of practice are in Civil/ Corporate litigation in High Court of Karnataka, District Courts, Debts Recovery Tribunal, Consumer Courts, etc. He is also engaged actively in drafting of agreements/ deeds and other such legal documents. He also advices and gives opinions on queries based on various legal issues such as Corporate & Commercial, Constitutional, Service, Banking, Arbitration, Probate Matters, consumer matters, matrimonial matters, civil suits, real estate, environmental law, etc. He is often engaged in speedy settlement of matters out of Court by way of aggressive negotiation, mediation and discussions.
